Caring for the preservation of the Adriatic is a regular practice among all members of the Croatian Association of Private Boat Owners. The owners and crews of our fleet promote a responsible attitude towards nature every day and encourage their guests to participate in environmental protection.
Even today, during a cruise on the Excellence Nera ship from the Lastavica Cruising fleet through the Kornati National Park, another cleaning action was spontaneously organized.
This time, the guests, inspired by the example of the crew and the owner, noticed a neglected beach during their stay in the Kornati Islands and got down to business together. Working together, they collected various waste, especially plastic, and showed how important it is to take care of the environment at all times. Guests, especially those from northern countries, are happy and enthusiastic about participating in such activities, recognizing the importance of preserving nature and the desire for the Adriatic to remain crystal clear for future generations. Picking up trash, even when it is not ours, is a matter of course for them!
“Caring for the preservation of the Adriatic and our environment is not only an obligation for us, but also a way of life. We are glad that our guests have also recognized the importance of such actions and that together we are creating positive changes. By not using plastic on our ships and participating in cleanup actions, we want to be an example of good practice in nautical life,” says Nera’s captain Davor Pasković.
Through these activities, Lastavica Cruising, with its three ships, Excellence Nera, Lastavica and Swallow, pays special attention to environmental protection, and plastic packaging is not used on board. Their guests recognize and appreciate this added value, aware that they are participating in a cruise that contributes to the protection and preservation of the beauties of the Adriatic.
