HUPB continues to contribute to the community through donations

The Croatian Private Shipowners’ Association (HUPB) continues to actively contribute to the community through donations directed to the Split Association of Laryngectomees (ULS), whose members were able to participate in rehabilitation at a special hospital in Crikvenica thanks to this donation, and the Trade Union Branch of Social Welfare Employees at the Home for the Elderly and Disabled Split, whose members are participating in the 16th Winter Trade Union Games in Topusko.

The Split Association of Laryngectomees, which has been gathering laryngectomees from the Split-Dalmatia County since 2002, has continued to successfully achieve its goals thanks to the support of donors and sponsors. The donated funds enabled the Association’s members to go to thalassotherapy in Crikvenica, at a special hospital for medical rehabilitation of the respiratory organs and locomotor system, thus providing them with much-needed medical and physical support.

At the same time, the Trade Union Branch of Social Welfare Employees at the Home for the Elderly and Disabled in Split is preparing to participate in the 16th Winter Trade Union Games of Social Welfare Employees. The games will be held at Top Terme Topusko from January 23 to 26, 2025. The members of the Branch cover the costs of accommodation, food and travel with their own funds, which testifies to their dedication and desire to connect with each other and exchange experiences through sports activities, which is why their help in the form of donations or sponsorships is always welcome.

Both of these initiatives are examples of how cooperation and community support enable the implementation of important programs and activities to improve the quality of life of the members and beneficiaries of these organizations.
