Stone drops – the lexicon of the beauty of the Šibenik-Knin County

Creative presentation of natural and cultural beauties is one of the most effective ways of promoting the Croatian tourist offer. With the increasing importance of visual communication, photomonographies occupy a special place. They not only document the space, but also create an emotional connection with the destination. When photography is combined with narrative, a powerful promotional tool is created that goes beyond classic brochures and guides. This is precisely what was achieved through the new edition of the photomonography “Droplets of Stone – Lexicon of the Beauty of Šibenik-Knin County”, which was officially presented today in Šibenik and Zagreb.

The monograph is published in Croatian and English. Emotion and connection with space

Editor Šakić emphasized that the aim of the monograph is to awaken an emotional connection with the space and encourage people to experience it authentically. “‘Droplets of Stone’ is not just a pictorial guide, but an invitation to stop, look and feel the power of the space from which we come,” said Šakić.

Photographer Igor Tomljenović said that each photograph in the book was carefully selected with the aim of stimulating curiosity, but also respect for the nature, culture and people who shape the area of Šibenik-Knin County.

The texts in the publication are signed by writer and journalist Emir Imamović Pirke, who gives the monograph a personal, almost poetic tone, which further emphasizes the emotional experience of the image and space. Architect Ante Vrban described the monograph as a “trace of belonging” and a “map of memory” that has the power to return people to their roots, but also inspire them to get to know the destination more deeply and responsibly.

The edition was published by the Šibenik-Knin County Tourist Board and is already standing out as a valuable publication that contributes to the promotion of the region on the domestic and foreign markets, but also as a reminder of the beauties that are worth preserving.
