This privacy notice tells you what you can expect when the Croatian Association of Private Shipowners (hereinafter: HUPB), with its registered office at Sv. Nikole 2, Jesenice, Croatia, OIB: 11464229118, collects personal data about you when you use our company’s services. HUPB is committed to protecting your personal data when you use our services. Whenever you provide such information, we will only use your data in accordance with all applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your data will be stored in a secure environment and access will be restricted.

What information will we collect about you?

The personal data we collect is related to the reason for collection. In most cases, it is basic personal data such as:
– name and surname, email address, IP address.
 
We collect your name and surname and email address if you have explicitly made them available, whereby you agree or consent to their use for the purposes listed below (Article 6(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
 
We will use your IP address for the purposes of technical website management, analysis and delivery of general and individualized offers, with the aim of providing you with access to specific information and for communication purposes.

How will we use the information we collect?

HUPD will use your personal data for several purposes, including the following:

  • To fulfill our legitimate business interests, in which case we will always take your interests into account.
  • To publish your comments.
  • · To fulfill legal obligations in accordance with positive legal regulations.
  • To fulfill legal obligations in accordance with positive legal regulations.

We will keep your information within our company, except in cases where disclosure is required by law, e.g. to government authorities and law enforcement agencies.

How long will we keep your data?

Your personal data will be kept for the period necessary to fulfill our obligations under the law, contract or in accordance with the intended purposes of collection.

What rights do I have over my personal data?

According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to request from us:

  • right of access – you have the right to contact us at any time and obtain confirmation as to whether your personal data is being processed and, if so, to request access to the personal data and information to which you are entitled in relation to the protection of personal data. HUPB will provide you with a copy of the personal data being processed, and for any additional copies you request, we may charge you a reasonable fee based on administrative costs. If you submit your request electronically, unless you request otherwise, we will provide you with the information in a common electronic format;
  • right to rectification – if we process your personal data that is inaccurate, you may at any time request us to correct it, and if it is incomplete, you have the right to complete it;
  • right to erasure – you have the right to request that we erase personal data relating to you if we have processed it unlawfully or if the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose of the processing, etc. Please note that there are reasons that prevent immediate erasure, for example, for the establishment, exercise or processing of legal claims, about which we will inform you in detail in relation to each individual request;
  • the right to restriction of processing – you can ask us to restrict the processing of your data:
    -if you dispute the accuracy of your personal data during a period that allows us to verify the accuracy of that data,
    -if the processing is unlawful, but you oppose the deletion and instead request the restriction of the use of those data,
    – if we no longer need the data for processing purposes, but you request it for the purpose of establishing, implementing and defending legal claims,
    -if you have lodged an objection to the processing
  • right to complain – if you believe that we have violated REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL or other regulations regarding the protection of personal data by processing your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer to clarify the issues in question.   • You certainly have the right to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority (Personal Data Protection Agency) or a supervisory authority within the EU;
  • right to withdraw consent – ​​when processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing that was based on consent before it was withdrawn. You can do this by e-maila: info@malibrodari.hr
  • right to compensation – if you have suffered (non-) material damage due to a violation of the relevant legal provisions, you have the right to compensation from us or the processor for the damage suffered.
