KRILO JESENICE – Small shipowners from the village of Krilo and Bajnice Jesenice, gathered in the Porat Krilo and Bajnice Association, launched a commendable initiative to raise funds to equip the Jesenice primary school. The school, attended by their children, as well as all other children from the Dugi Rat Municipality, has received a significant improvement in working and learning conditions, thanks to their donation.
In contact with the principal and school staff, the shipowners learned that the school needs new smart boards – modern interactive devices that make learning easier for students and enable teachers to transfer knowledge more efficiently. In addition, the school expressed a desire to build and equip an outdoor classroom, located in the school yard.
The Porat Krilo and Bajnice Association raised the amount of 36.500 eura, which was donated to the Jesenice primary school. With these funds, the school hired companies to purchase and install the necessary equipment. Thanks to this donation, the classrooms are equipped with smart boards, and the outdoor classroom is in the final stages of construction.
The school principal, Iva Petričević, expressed her gratitude on behalf of the entire staff, emphasizing that the shipowner’s generous assistance has significantly improved the working and learning conditions, which will greatly benefit both students and teachers.
The school plans to soon organize a grand opening of the newly equipped playground and outdoor classroom, to which representatives of the Porat Krilo and Bajnice Associations will be invited. In this way, they want to commemorate this valuable contribution of the community to education and thank everyone who participated in this noble initiative.
