The story of Split began a long time ago, more than 17 centuries ago. Then the Roman Emperor Diocletian decided to build a palace on a peninsula near the great Roman city of Salona in which he would spend his final years. Many centuries later, the Palace and the city that developed from it would be included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

And so, a walk through the ancient city is actually a journey through time, from ancient Aspalathos to modern Split. But also enjoying the top achievements of architecture, visiting numerous museums or attending numerous events…

But Split is much, much more than a rich history and impressive architecture, no matter how magnificent it is.
