The constituent session of the Assembly of the Croatian Tourist Board was held

The constituent session of the Assembly of the Croatian Tourist Board was held in Zagreb today, at which new members of the CNTB Tourist Council were elected for a new four-year mandate. Given that the last convocation of the CNTB Assembly was constituted in October 2021, the CNTB Tourist Council determined the number of representatives in the Assembly for each regional tourist board in March this year, based on the original income in the previous year.

The Act on Tourist Boards and the Promotion of Croatian Tourism stipulates that the Tourist Council of the Croatian Tourist Board has 13 members. It consists of the President of the Croatian Tourist Board, i.e. the Minister of Tourism and Sports, and 12 members, eight of whom are elected by the Assembly of the Croatian Tourist Board, while two members are delegated by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. One member is delegated by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts.

The new Council for the next four years will now consist of: Katija Jerković, member of the Board of Directors of Adriatic Luxury Hotels and member of the Tourist Council of the City of Dubrovnik, Tomislav Popović, President of the Board of Directors of Maistra d.d., Željko Kukurin, President of the Board of Directors of Valamar and member of the Tourist Council of the Istrian County, Željko Kukurin, member of the executive board of the Croatian Camping Association and director of Camp Stobreč Split Ivica Tafra, president of the National Association of Family and Small Hotels, Šime Klarić, director of ACI Marina Cres, Alan Šepuka, owner and head chef of the Michelin-starred Pelegrini restaurant in Šibenik, and UN Ambassador for Tourism Rudolf Štefan.

President of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies and member of the Zadar County Tourist Council Tomislav Fain, delegated by the Croatian Chamber of Crafts and Trades President Dalibor Kratohvil, delegated from the ranks of the Croatian Chamber of Economy Director of the Tourism Sector and Marketing and Communication Service Andreja Vukojević, president of the Hoteliers Section of the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Rijeka County Chamber, member of the Opatija Tourist Council, owner and director of the Navis Design Hotel Krunoslav Kapetanović and director of the Osijek Wellness & Wholeness Hotel Materra Josipa Pipunić.

Let us add that the CNTB Assembly is the highest governing body of the CNTB, which adopts the statute; decides on the election and dismissal of members of the Tourist Council, adopts the annual work program, supervises the operations of the tourist board and performs other tasks in accordance with the Law.
