The final of the PLOV swimming marathon, the Podstrana Open Water League, was successfully held on Sunday, in front of the Krilo Hotel in Krilo Jesenice. The event brought together a large number of swimmers, recreational athletes and sports fans, who enjoyed the competition and the beautiful ambience of the Adriatic Sea.
Participants had the opportunity to choose a course of 2,500 or 1,250 meters, and the race was held in the spirit of fair play and togetherness. After the race, the winners were announced, and after the award ceremony, which included the presence of the mayors of the municipalities of Dugi Rat, Tonči Bauk, and Podstrana, Mijo Dropuljić, a joint lunch was organized for all participants.
“We are proud that we were able to hold the finals in Krilo Jesenice and that the league is developing year after year, gathering more and more participants and promoting a healthy lifestyle, togetherness and love for the sea,” said Velimir Gavranić, president of the Sports Association “Nova generacija 7”.
The entire event was a true celebration of sportsmanship, friendship, and the beauty of our coast, and visitors and competitors left the event with a smile and a desire to participate again next year.
