After spending almost half a year on the seabed in the port of Krilo Jesenice, the tourist ship Pacific<\/em> has finally been pulled from the sea and is entering the overhaul phase. This is an extremely demanding and important project, the implementation of which will take six months. The work will be carried out by the renowned domestic shipbuilding company Posejdon<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

The ship sank in the early morning hours of December 29 last year under still unclear circumstances. There were no crew or passengers on board at the time of the accident. Thanks to the rapid intervention, protective barriers were installed to prevent any possible pollution of the sea. The Pacific,<\/em> about 45 meters long and with a capacity of 36 passengers, was at a depth of 15 to 20 meters, which further complicated the recovery operation. <\/p>\n\n

After months of preparations, the ship was recently successfully refloated and moved to dry land, where preparations for a thorough overhaul have begun. Posejdon<\/em>, which has built and renovated more than 40 ships, has taken over the complete renovation of the vessel. The work will include hull rehabilitation, system renovation, technical modernization and final sea trials. <\/p>\n\n

This is an extremely demanding operation, but one with great potential. Salvaging a ship after six months at the bottom of the sea is not only a technical challenge, but also an important contribution to the preservation of the fleet. <\/p>\n\n

The restoration of the Pacific<\/em> represents a significant positive step forward. Instead of becoming another ship lost at sea, the ship is given a new chance to return to sea. <\/p>\n\n
