Croatia <\/strong>has once again won the hearts of British travelers! This is best confirmed by the six Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards<\/strong> that our country won as part of the 24th edition of these prestigious awards. The ceremony was held last night at the legendary National Gallery in London. The awards for the world’s best destinations and tourist offers were given based on votes from more than four million readers of Wanderlust magazine. <\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

Croatia was thus declared the second most desirable European country by an audience of millions. The Croatian islands took fourth place among the most desirable in Europe. The star of the evening was Dubrovnik, which won the title of the second most desirable European city, as well as the Special Award for Sustainable Tourism. Also, notable success was achieved by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and Istria, taking sixth and seventh place in the category of the most desirable European regions. In doing so, they once again confirmed their exceptional diversity, beauty, but also the enduring appeal of Croatian coastal and continental destinations. <\/p>\n\n

The ceremony, hosted by renowned TV presenter, adventurer and author Simon Reeve, brought together leading representatives of the global travel industry. Croatia was the center of attention during the evening, confirming its status as one of the most dynamic and favorite European destinations according to Wanderlust readers. <\/p>\n\n

“The awards we have won represent an exceptional recognition of Croatian tourism. But they also confirm that Croatia is continuously strengthening its reputation as one of the most desirable and highest quality European destinations. We are particularly pleased that British travelers have recognized not only the beauty of our coast and islands, but also the efforts we are making in sustainability, preserving authenticity and raising the quality of the experience.
