In order to raise the story of the sustainable development of tourism to the level of the entire Mediterranean, Croatia launched an initiative to join the forces of the Mediterranean countries, which would be jointly presented in marketing on the markets of third countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\nThis proposal was presented at the Croatian Tourism Days in Dubrovnik, which were officially opened by a panel at the highest level, and was attended by the Minister of Tourism and Sports Ton\u010di Glavina, the Ministers of Tourism of Italy and Greece, Daniela Santanche and Olga Kefalogianni, and the new Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, who will take up her new position on January 1, 2026. 2024.<\/p>\n\n
“I am very pleased that for the first time at the Croatian Tourism Days we have gathered so many world-class tourism leaders and that we opened them with this very important panel where we once again confirmed that Croatia is a leader in the development of tourism based on sustainable practices,” emphasized, among other things, the Minister of Tourism and Sports Ton\u010di Glavina.<\/p>\n\n
The panel exchanged experiences and tourism policies implemented in our competing countries, but also generally on a global level, and Croatia once again stood out as a leader in sustainable development by presenting a proposal for a new initiative. Thus, the story of sustainable tourism development is being strongly raised to the level of the entire Mediterranean so that Mediterranean countries can jointly position themselves even more firmly on the world’s tourism map, it was heard at this meeting. <\/p>\n\n
At the end of the panel, the UN Tourism award was presented to the municipality of Ka\u0161telir-Labinci, which this year was chosen among 52 villages among more than 270 applicants from 65 UN Tourism member states, which received their recognition for Best tourism villages.<\/p>\n\n
The Croatian Tourism Days are organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the Croatian Tourist Board and Croatian Radio and Television, and the two-day program of this event includes a series of presentations, panels and meetings, and awards will be given to the most successful in tourism this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
