\nThe Croatian National Tourist Board hosted a group of students from the USA. The students are from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, namely from the College of Applied Health Sciences, Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism. A total of 21 students and two accompanying professors will be staying in Croatia over the next two weeks, and this is their first visit to Croatia. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\nStudent Sofia Te\u0161ija, a descendant of Croatian emigrants and recipient of the Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP) scholarship, particularly stood out. After completing her study trip, she will complete an internship at Jadran Galenski Laboratorij. <\/p>\n\n
The visit to the CNTB was an opportunity to present the role and importance of tourism for the Croatian economy. The activities carried out by the CNTB in promoting the entire Croatian tourism offer were also presented. Emphasis was placed on positioning Croatia as a year-round tourist destination in the American and other emitting markets. <\/p>\n

Students showed great interest in topics such as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Croatian tourism and economy, the promotion of Croatia on international markets, and the development of continental tourism. According to the conclusions of all participants, the meeting was extremely useful and informative. <\/p>\n\n
After the meeting at the CNTB, the students also visited the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, where they continued their acquaintance with the Croatian tourism sector and the institutional framework for tourism development.<\/p>\n\n
The study trip in question and the visit of American students to Croatia were organized as part of the activities of the Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP), which actively contributes to connecting the Croatian and Croatian-American communities through educational, professional and cultural projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
