In practice, the sector claims, price movements are neither uniform nor linear. The owner of a Split travel agency points out that changes compared to last year are most visible in segments that depend on transportation, namely fuel prices. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

Ahead of the main tourist season<\/strong>, the debate about the level of prices in Croatian tourism and their competitiveness in the Mediterranean has reopened. Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovi\u0107 and Tourism Minister Ton\u010di Glavina have called on the sector to “set prices reasonably” and possibly reduce them. There is no doubt that there is a need to maintain competitiveness and attract guests. But on the other hand, tourism professionals warn of rising operating costs and limited room for discounts. <\/p>\n\n

In practice, the sector claims, price movements<\/strong> are neither uniform nor linear. The owner of a Split travel agency points out that changes compared to last year are mostly seen in segments that depend on transport, namely fuel prices. He adds that at the same time, price drops are also being recorded in parts of the offer, especially in services that do not depend on logistics. \u2013 The prices of services, such as tourist guides and agencies, have remained at the same level, and in some cases are even lower \u2013 he claims. He cites specific excursion prices as an example. <\/p>\n\n
