The Croatian National Tourist Board continued its intensive promotional activities in the most important distant market for Croatian tourism – the USA, from which we generate the largest tourist traffic. With the aim of promoting the overall Croatian tourist offer and taking into account the imminent start of the World Cup, three business workshops were held in the state of Texas under the title “Howdy, Croatia! Texas Roadshow 2026.”

The organizers of the workshops were LT Konture d.o.o. from Zagreb and the office of the HTZ Representative Office in New York.

The workshops were held in Houston, Fort Worth and Dallas, and brought together numerous American travel agents and partners interested in the Croatian tourism offer.

American travel agents expressed great satisfaction with the meetings held and the contacts made with Croatian partners. Many of them have had Croatia in their offer for many years, and a significant number of agents already have contracted groups of American tourists for 2026 and 2027. This interest further confirms Croatia’s status as one of the most desirable Mediterranean destinations for the United States market.

From Croatia, representatives of the tourism system participated in the workshops, including the Tourist Boards of Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik-Neretva Counties, the Tourist Board of the City of Korčula and the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb, as well as representatives of the hotel sector: Aminess Younique Korčula Heritage Hotel, Liburnia Hotels & Villas and Potestas Hospitality Group.

The events in Texas were held with the strong institutional support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia in Los Angeles and Consul General Renna Pea.

Of particular note was the participation of Ms. Ervin McKelvey, President of the EU-US Chamber of Commerce (EACC), at the workshop in Dallas, who praised the initiative and expressed full support for activities aimed at strengthening cooperation between American and Croatian partners in tourism, announcing support for future promotional projects.

The workshops were further supported by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Croatia for the Houston area, Mr. Philip Bergquist, as well as prominent representatives of the Croatian business community in Dallas and Fort Worth. In Dallas, the event was also attended by Ms. Klementina Mikuš, President of the Croatian Community for the Dallas and Fort Worth area.
