While Croatian tourism is increasingly turning to premium guests and higher value destination positioning, in 2026 Šibenik is quietly entering one of the most interesting cruise seasons on the Adriatic. An analysis of the official sailing schedule shows that during the year as many as 105 cruisers with more than 43,780 passengers will sail into the port of Sibenik.
Although at first glance it may not be the numbers that Dubrovnik, Split or Zadar have, that is exactly what makes Šibenik interesting. The city is increasingly being profiled as a boutique and premium cruise destination. With a focus on smaller and medium-sized luxury ships, longer stays and guests with higher spending power.

Šibenik is no longer a “passenger” cruise port
The largest number of arrivals during 2026 will come from the premium and luxury cruise segment.
Among the most represented companies are Viking Cruises. She has been among the most faithful partners of the Šibenik cruising scene for years, with 26 sailings. In recent seasons, Viking has increasingly included Šibenik in its itineraries. The arrival of new ships in their fleet further confirms the growth of interest in the destination.
Among the ships that attract special attention are certainly the new Viking ships Viking Vesta and Viking Mira with a length of 239 meters. But also the luxurious Four Seasons, whose arrival is considered one of the more interesting novelties of the announced season.
Cruise ship guests are looking for authenticity, historical heritage and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. And that is exactly what the city can offer. At the same time, the arrival of cruise ships brings a tangible economic effect for local caterers, traders and tourism workers, especially in the pre-season when any major tourist traffic additionally contributes to the atmosphere in the city.
