In today’s show “More”, representatives of the shipowners from Krilo, Andrija Marasović and Denis Grubiša, once again warned of two key challenges faced by small shipowners from that place – the need for urgent reconstruction and expansion of the port of Krilo and the announced expansion of the St. Peter pier in the port of Split.
As pointed out, another tourist season is just around the corner, and concrete agreements and solutions have not been reached. The reconstruction of the port of Krilo, which was announced 17 years ago, has not yet begun, and if the work on the expansion of the St. Peter pier begins as announced, shipowners will be left without the berths necessary for weekly shifts of guests.
“We ask the authorities to help us, to sit down and agree on quality solutions,” said Marasović, while Grubiša added that the alternative ports offered are not suitable for such a large number of ships and the volume of business they bring. – Alternative ports are not of sufficient quality, we cannot bring guests anywhere, Grubiša emphasized.
