As a significant and socially responsible business entity, the shipping companies Krila and Bajnica once again supported the work of the Dalmacija Dugi Rat Volunteer Fire Department with a donation of six thousand euros for the purchase and equipping of a light trailer with all the necessary equipment and devices for pumping out interventions.
We are aware of the importance of a well-equipped and trained fire department. Their readiness and speed of intervention are crucial not only in cases of fires and floods, but also in cases of maritime accidents, such as ship sinkings, said Andrija Marasović, president of the Krilo and Bajnice Port Association.
DVD procured and equipped the trailer with key water pumping equipment, including electric pumps, generator sets and fire fittings. This project will significantly improve their ability to act quickly.
We thank the Krilo and Bajnice Association for once again showing understanding and supporting our efforts to be ready to intervene quickly and effectively with this significant donation, emphasized the commander of the Dugi Rat DVD Pavao Tomić.
Shipowners have been actively assisting DVD Dugi Rat so far, and as Marasović pointed out, they will continue this practice, ensuring the safety and protection of the local community and maritime traffic.
