“In 2024, we continued the positive trend of growth in revenue from foreign tourists and achieved a record revenue of almost 15 billion euros.” We are especially pleased that the record results were achieved in the pre- and post-season. Such accomplishments are also contributed by the never-greater investments in the tourism sector, which this Government secured through European funds and through the state budget for numerous investments in public and private tourist infrastructure that raise the quality of the offer and services. In preparation for this tourist year, we carried out strong promotion at the world’s largest trade fairs, with special emphasis on our most important source markets, from which announcements support Croatia as a desirable tourist destination that offers value for money. “All the changes we are making as part of the comprehensive reform of tourism management are aimed at generating as much revenue as possible, not as has been the case so far solely through the growth of tourist traffic in the main part of the tourist year, but by raising the quality of the offer and positioning Croatia as a sustainable and year-round destination,” said Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina.
