The Green Sail Marina partnership program plays a key role in shaping the future of sustainable nautical tourism. Since 2017, Green Sail has been providing essential sustainability education, training around 800 participants every two years ensuring that 34 marinas are continuously upgrading their knowledge.

In addition, Green Sail has successfully educated more than 1,000 participants through its online courses on marine sustainability, climate change, and the basics of sustainability when renting yachts in Croatia.

Green Sail Footprint System
Another unique system has been developed in Croatia. It is the Green Sail Footprint System, which calculates a rating for each vessel by taking into account the emissions produced by the vessel, its energy and water consumption, and the amount of waste generated on board. The verification process helps companies in the nautical industry measure and reduce their environmental impact through a structured and transparent assessment. Many yacht charter companies based in Croatia already use this system.
