The British newspaper The Telegraph, based on the votes of its readers – around 20,000 people voted – has awarded the Telegraph Travel Awards 2025 for the most desirable destinations in the world. In the category, which includes evaluation by region, Croatia ranked 6th on the list of the best European countries this year , immediately behind it are Spain and France, while the European list is led by Greece.

“This vote, conducted by one of the most powerful media outlets in the UK, confirmed Croatia’s status as an exceptionally recognizable destination in the Mediterranean that has a wide range of offerings and the possibility of entering the top of the most desirable destinations for tourists from the UK, who are very engaged travelers and who, despite economic and security challenges, like to visit other countries and spend their holidays that way,” said Bisera Fabrio, Director of the Croatian Tourist Board’s Representative Office in the UK.

The popularity of Croatia on the British market is also reflected in an article in the British newspaper The Times about the most beautiful beaches on our coast. The authors of the text particularly highlighted the beauty of Stračinska Bay on Šolta, Raduča in Primošten, and Pupnatska Luka on Korčula. In addition to these, beaches on Lošinj, Brač, Hvar, Lopud, Dugi otok, etc. were also highlighted.
