The Croatian National Tourist Board’s Munich office, which is also responsible for the Swiss market, organized a special event in Zurich called “Pomalo Way of Life x Nautical Experiences”, which was attended by representatives of reputable Swiss media. The aim of the event was to bring the Croatian way of life, the Mediterranean atmosphere and the rich nautical offer closer to the public through the Pomalo concept, which symbolizes a more relaxed pace of life, enjoying the moment and authentic experiences for which Croatia is known.
The event was covered by media outlets such as NZZ Bellevue, Blick, Monocle, Konfekt, Schön!, Safar Magazine, Stilpalast, Travel News and Travel Inside, as well as the Croatian news portal in Switzerland Hrvatski.ch, as well as well-known influencers Antje-Katrin Schaniel and Manuela Leonhard, and representatives of tour operators Meersicht and DER.

“The Pomalo concept represents one of the most beautiful values of the Croatian way of life. With it, we want to show that Croatia is not just a vacation destination, but a place where time is experienced differently; more relaxed, more authentic and of high quality. We wanted to convey this feeling to our Swiss media partners and inspire them to experience and present our country through their own experiences,” commented Nera Miličić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board’s Representative Office in Munich.
The exclusive ambience of the Baur au Lac Hotel and its direct connection to Lake Zurich provided the ideal backdrop for presenting the Mediterranean way of life and the Croatian tourist offer. A cruise on the lake on the historic Tugenia turned the evening into a symbolic journey across the Adriatic, conveying to guests the Mediterranean ease of living and the authentic atmosphere that makes Croatia a unique destination.
The gathering continued with dinner on the terrace of the Marguita restaurant at the Baur au Lac hotel, where the values of Croatia’s tourist offer were further presented through top-notch Mediterranean gastronomy and a pleasant atmosphere. The evening was rounded off with a special dessert, the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, inspired by Croatia.
