Two new Airbus A220-300 aircraft have joined the Croatia Airlines fleet. With this, the Croatian national carrier has continued the largest fleet renewal project in its history and increased the number of new Airbus A220s to thirteen.
The first of two new aircraft landed in Zagreb on October 2. It is an Airbus A220-300, registration 9A-CAW, named Karlovac. The following day, October 3, the Airbus A220-300 with registration 9A-CAX, named Sisak, also arrived in Zagreb. Both aircraft have a capacity of 149 passenger seats.
“Karlovac” is the twelfth new Airbus A220 in the Croatia Airlines fleet, and specifically the tenth aircraft of the A220-300 variant. “Sisak” is the thirteenth new A220 and the eleventh A220-300. With their arrival, the Croatian national carrier’s fleet of new aircraft comprises a total of thirteen Airbus A220s—eleven A220-300s and two A220-100s.

The names Karlovac and Sisak continue the tradition of naming new Croatia Airlines aircraft after Croatian cities, further highlighting the connection between the Croatian national carrier and various parts of Croatia.
