The Croatian National Tourist Board presented the entire offer of Croatian tourism at The New York Travel & Adventure Show held 24. and 25 January, and in addition to the CNTB as the main exhibitor, the tourist boards of Kvarner, Split-Dalmatia and Lika-Senj counties, the cities of Zagreb and Split, as well as nine agencies and two hoteliers, also presented themselves at the fair. The appearance at the fair confirmed the continued strong momentum of the Croatian tourist offer on the American market, which further strengthened our country’s position as one of the leading European destinations, which will soon become even more accessible to the citizens of New York through the announced direct flights from New York to Split, which will start operating in April this year.

Thus, during the weekend, the Croatian pavilion was a dynamic center for promoting the destination and interacting with visitors, and Croatia was presented through several educational quizzes where those with the most knowledge about the destination had the opportunity to win valuable prizes, such as top-quality Croatian wines and Badel’s Pelinkovac Antique, which was also specially presented to visitors and agents visiting the stands of Croatian exhibitors. The quizzes brought local heritage, inventions and various attractions closer to home, as well as the “pomala” lifestyle, which ideally fits into the increasingly popular philosophy of slow travel today, encouraging strong engagement of visitors, and through special gifts and vouchers from domestic partners, participants were introduced to exclusive travel, excursion, gourmet offers and cruise options.
We remind you that the US market is the most important distant market for Croatia, with 850 thousand arrivals and 2.4 million overnight stays last year, which represents a growth of +9 percent in arrivals and +10 percent in overnight stays compared to 2024, confirming the continued interest of American travelers in authentic experiences. Exhibiting at this largest American tourism fair confirms Croatia’s long-term strategy in the American market: a focus on quality growth, an extension of the season, balanced regional development, and partnerships that support sustainable tourism at the national level.
